Ignite! Math features an innovative combination of engaging media and print activities to stimulate student comprehension and classroom interaction. The use of print and media together is purposeful - it gives students opportunities to be both engaged and active participants in the process of learning mathematics.
Because we learn by building conceptual bridges between new information and what we already understand, Ignite! Math emphasizes connections among concepts, making them "stickier" -- easier to learn and remember. Lessons don't appear as "one-off" media pieces, but as part of a whole course broken into units and topics.

We also help students build connections across unit and topic with our index, our 21st Century activities, and our use of templates.
The media library consists of movies, songs, live action, animations, charts and graphs, and interactive pieces to engage students and promote a deeper understanding of key concepts. By modeling thinking skills such as compare-and-contrast, cause-and-effect, and problem-solution, students make stronger connections among concepts, improving both learning and retention.
