Different methods of teaching the standards are accomplished using one of over 40 media templates which expand concepts and model thinking skills for students.

| DJ: This is a musical template. Set in a dance club, these songs are intended to be high-energy dance songs across a number of different genres (rap, new wave, top 40, etc.) that use rhyme, rhythm, meter, and repetition to help students learn and remember content. The lyrics appear on-screen so students can read what they are listening to for greater retention. |
Cube: This self-paced exploratory template shows multiple facets of one item, event, person, or place. The cube has six faces: the first introduces the topic and the other five (seen in any order chosen by the student) present different facets of the topic. It can contain linguistic text, visual images, and mathematical charts. The interface allows the user to explore and control the different faces of the cube, and is designed to appeal to kinesthetic learners. |

| Animated Diagrams and Charts: This diagrammatic template uses diagrams, charts, models designed to appeal to logical-mathematical and visual-spatial learners. |
Charts and Graphs: This diagrammatic template is designed for logical-mathematical and visual-spatial learners. Students can explore maps, charts, and diagrams for more information about a particular aspect of the layout. |

| The Effective Detective/On the Case/Count on It: This is a problem-solving template, in which a detective character or characters applies social studies, science, or math concepts to answer questions or solve problems, such as how geological forces shape geographical features, or how to most effectively display comparative data. |
Surrounded by Math: This real-world scenario template allows students to apply the math at hand in a realistic context. The template assesses the students’ performance and allows them to work through the problems until they succeed. |

| Reporter on the Street: This is a real-world context template. Sally Solutions is our on-location reporter. She is used to introduce students to professional careers that make use of the material they are studying, whether she is interviewing carpenters, actuaries, or middle school teachers.

Primary Source Documents: This narrative template covers primary source documents and other historical writings with the addition of insightful commentary to aid in student understanding. |
