We are currently interviewing for a K12 Customer Support Specialist. This is a field role focused on visiting Ignite! customers in central Texas and helping teachers to adopt and use our curriculum solutions. The right candidate will be tech-savvy, have some connection or experience in K12 education, and be able to freely travel around the local area. Work hours are very flexible but will typically occur during the school day, 9 – 3pm. The primary goal of this position is to foster continued use of Ignite! products and be a resource for local teachers. Due to our partnerships and integrations with ed-tech companies such as Promethean, SMART Technologies, and Renaissance Learning, there is a requirement that the right candidate be comfortable with popular classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards and student response systems (clickers). College degree required.
• 1-2 years teaching experience, preferably middle school
• Familiar with current classroom instructional technology
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of teachers
• Demonstrated “sales” personality to uncover new opportunities
• Freely able to travel within local territory
• Knowledgeable about current Texas curriculum standards
This role pays a fixed retainer of $350 per week with an expectation of 25 – 30 hours worked per week. There is also a bonus plan tied to overall Company sales success. The position is available immediately.
